Burnley's famous Pastor Mick to have gritty TV drama made about his life of drugs, violence and crime
He went from a life of drugs, violence and crime, to one of compassion, love and faith.
He told Lancs Live: "You know you can't get your head round these things until they happen to you. It's crazy really that they want to make the TV show." "It's been a life of extremes, bad and good, so it's been really strange. Very strange indeed. I didn't even have any kind of faith and really kind of self esteem for myself. Very cold character, so I wouldn't have believed my life would turn out like this if you'd have told me 30 years ago."
"I was just a nice little boy, but I knew that when my mum took these tablets she didn't have pain," said Mick. "I got this fuzzy warm feeling when I took them and I just drifted, from that day on I just kept trying to feeling to float away again." Mad Mick, the debt collector had been born. He was the go to man, he was the man you called when you wanted the dirty work done and he relished in it.
