Over the years, we’ve stayed at almost every resort in greater Phoenix, and one of the most popular for families is The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in North Scottsdale. The desert oasis, spanning 250 acres, features a full-service destination spa, a 27-hole golf club, multiple dining experiences and a kids club. Its biggest draw, however, is the award-winning FUN program, offering an incredible collection of on-property activities.
For an elevated resort stay, book at the Four Seasons Troon North, nestled in the foothills of Pinnacle Peak. Although the boutique five-diamond resort is farther from Scottsdale’s attractions, it is my favourite hotel in greater Phoenix. The views of the rugged high Sonoran Desert, which we enjoyed from our casita-style guestroom and the outdoor heated pools, are unparalleled. Its remote location also makes for exceptional stargazing opportunities.
