Kavas Jemison, 16, was fatally shot last month.
“There’s not a day that goes by I don’t cry because he will be greatly missed forever as long as my beats,’’ Jemison said.
A short time later, a female showed up at the West Precinct and said she may have been involved in a shooting. A man was found shot to death Saturday, July 23, 2022, in the back seat of a vehicle on I-59/20 southbound at the Bush Boulevard exit in Ensley. She said he had been involved in fights at school, for which he was sent to alternative school and eventually virtual learning.
