Family of woman killed in street racing crash says her death could have been avoided

Austin police arrested a 19-year-old for a street racing crash that killed a woman. The family of the victim said her death could have been avoided.

It was Valentine’s Day and Richard Walker and Denise Cunningham had just had lunch together. Cunningham left, and about an hour later, Walker said he couldn’t get ahold of his wife.

Family members of Cunningham describe her as the glue that held them together, and she cared for everyone."She was amazing. She was one of a kind. She was special. She was important," Dean said.
