It's been nearly two months since baby Kwahlelwa Tiwane, a twin, was abducted and his distraught father, Siyanda Thungani, said he feared the worst. CapeTimesSA

Cape Town – It's been nearly two months since baby Kwahlelwa Tiwane, a twin, was abducted and his distraught father, Siyanda Thungani, said he feared the worst. She is alleged to have posed as a social worker to gain the trust of the twins’ mother.

Thungani said the family were losing faith in the police, because a lot of time had passed and yet nothing tangible had come out about Kwahlelwa’s whereabouts. The emotional father broke down when he spoke about not being able to watch his son do what babies his age did. “It’s stressful not being able to see him. Now he is four months old, I’m sure he’s a big boy,” he said.

Thungani said the twins’ older sibling, who would soon be 3 years old, always asked where “Hlelo” was. “Whenever his twin cries it hurts, because we know he feels whatever his brother might be going through.” Police spokesperson FC van Wyk said the case was still under investigation.
