The bodies of Firefighter Jermaine Pelt and Lt. Jan Tchoryk will be transported from the Medical Examiner's office to funeral homes Friday.
Crews were responding to a fire on the 27th floor of a condo building near Division and DuSable Lake Shore Drive. Officials said Tchoryk collapsed on the 11th floor stairs. An autopsy found Chicago firefighter Lt.
Jan Tchoryk died of natural causes while battling a blaze in the Gold Coast, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.Lt.
