Facebook's parent company, Meta, on Thursday announced plans to open an $800 million data center in Central Texas.
Temple's location between Austin and Dallas makes it a"prime" spot to thrive, a news release said. Meta worked with the city of Temple, its mayor, Temple Economic Development Corporation and other local departments in order to make this investment and work on its sustainability. “Meta’s continued expansion in Texas is a testament to the exceptional business climate and skilled, diverse workforce we have here in the Lone Star State,” Abbott said in the news release.
