Explosives and Molotov cocktail rock three DC businesses
The Truist bank in the 2300 block of Washington Place in DC suffered serious damage Sunday morning when an explosion was set off.Six minutes later, another explosive was detonated outside a nearby Nike store, damaging its entrance.Minutes later, a Molotov cocktail-style weapon was thrown through the window of a Safeway store.Representatives for Safeway, Nike and Truist did not immediately respond to Post requests for comment.
The case is being investigated by the Metro police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Officials are offering a reward of up to $20,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
