Increasing engagement with P.E.I.’s medical societyExpanding the volume of walk-in clinics by incentivizing physicians to provide those services
And establishing return-in-service agreements for students studying in Canadian universities, among other promises. Cameron also said she had concerns with the plans for the previously announced medical school at UPEI, noting questions that have come up around the resources required for the school to operate and how exactly it will operate, something she intends to figure out if elected.
“Once those questions are answered and all of the partners and stakeholders have been consulted and have given input, that is when we will be satisfied that it’s a go,” said Cameron. “But I think we need to ask those hard questions that need to be answered.”It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
