‘Exes who reunite at Christmas benefit their children - these celebs got it right’

Christmas is a time for family – and forgiveness – and that’s certainly the case for Helen Flanagan, Dani Dyer and Christine McGuinness who, we can reveal, will be reunited with their exes this year.

Earlier this month, Loose Women star Jane Moore also revealed she’ll be spending Christmas with estranged husband Gary Farrow following their split. Speaking on the ITV show, Jane announced they parted ways around a year ago, but still remain close. Helen Flanagan and Scott Sinclair may have split earlier this year, but they continue to spend time together for the sake of their young children – and that means they will be together over the Christmas period.

Helen, 32, was seen taking their three children to watch their dad – who plays for Bristol Rovers – at a recent football match, something parenting expert Amanda Jenner says is a good move. She adds, “Helen and Scott’s children are incredibly young so they can start a new normal for their children and make Christmas a joyful and magical time.”

But that’s not to say that the star, who played Rosie Webster in Coronation Street for almost two decades before leaving in 2018, is loving life as a singleton. Our source says, “Dani’s family are supporting Sammy. They think he’s done his time, learnt from his mistake and can start a new beginning. He has really missed Santiago – and he now wants to be a really good father and make up for lost time. Dani wants him in Santiago’s life.”

Amanda adds, “I do feel it’s mature of Dani to make this effort as equally Sammy is the father of her child and it’s important that a child, if possible, can have both parents in their lives.” She also previously discussed the “pressures” of being a single mum. “I’ve definitely learnt that I am a lot stronger than I thought I was,” she said in April. “At the beginning, I really did doubt myself being a mum. Now I’ve definitely changed and grown as a person.”

“They’re doing what’s best for the children,” a source tells us. “The most important thing for the children is a routine and they don’t want to disrupt that. Nothing will be different just because they’re no longer together.”
