Environment Minister Andrew Muir said: 'I am very keen that we move in relation to this'

The Northern Ireland Executive is yet to make a decision on an environmental improvement plan that could help Lough Neagh , that its had since March.

Speaking to Belfast Live after setting out his priorities for DAERA at the Balmoral Show, Minister Muir said: "I am very keen that we move in relation to this. Following bids to the Executive for funding, he said: "I got £1.6m of capital which won't touch the sides for what I need to do." "The cost of inaction will be really substantial. We need substantial investment in our environment... I want to make a significant change in terms of how we invest for the future and I will be working with my Executive colleagues to do that.
