The 'Out There for Us' campaign asks people to submit a thank you message to an essential worker 'near you' on social media with hashtag OutThereForUs.
powerful"Good Job" song is the soundtrack of the new PSA, part of the Ad Council #OutThereForUs campaign showing gratitude for the crucial work of health workers, truck drivers, caregivers, grocers, sanitation workers, police officers, taxi drivers and more."These streets aren't empty, they're filled with courage, compassion and strength," the video states, showing workers from delivery people to medical staff in protective gear.
The campaign, kicking off April 27, asks people to submit a thank you message to an essential worker"near you" on social media with the #OutThereForUs hashtag. Content will be aggregated and featured on the website, and a select few will be shown on digital ads strategically placed on routes to hospitals, highway road signs and outside grocery stores in cities facing heavy surges of the virus. This includes New York's Times Square.
“While many of us are isolating at home, essential workers are true heroes, bravely continuing their jobs, risking their health and safety to support their communities,” Lisa Sherman, president & CEO of the Ad Council, says in a statement, adding that the PSA"conveys our nation’s support for those extraordinary individuals that continue to keep the country moving. We’re truly grateful.
