When you see a finished high-end car, it’s hard to remember that it went through the same build process as your hot rod, just with a crap-ton more cash thrown at it. Yeah, the stratospheric world of the high-six-figure car builds is hard for us mere mortals to breathe in, but even though these builds might be outside our economic realities, there’s still a lot to be gleaned from seeing how they come together.
Gaps, it’s all about the gaps! When originally built by Pontiac this car was just stylish transportation and not a show car. Given that, the factory gaps were “good enough,” but that wasn’t going to cut it here, so all the gaps were tightened up and DSE also sucked in the rear bumper and formed it to the car.The rear spoiler was also heavily reworked. The ends were brought out to the edges of the quarters and turned downward so they were almost touching.
