Eddie Nketiah has lifted the lid on his relationship with fellow Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun.
this season, after the German joined Arsenal from Chelsea for a reported fee of £65 million.
When quizzed on what sort of role he would play in the squad, Nketiah responded with a smirk, exclaiming: “I don’t get paid to pick the team,” before conceding that Havertz is a useful addition. “What I can say is he’s a great player and he’s going to help us this season. But competition is competition, I know what I can add,” he confidently explained.
Indeed, there appears to be competition in almost every position at the Emirates, but Nketiah is backing himself to take the opportunities when they arrive.“All I can do is focus on my situation, that’s how I try to look at things," the Englishman said."There’s always going to be competition. “It’s down to me to back myself and push hard and work hard and take the opportunities I get to show why I should be playing, and why I can help the team.”
