Ex-UCT council chair quits Vukile Property board after panel's shock report
Former University of Cape Town council chairperson, Babalwa Ngonyama, has resigned from the Vukile Property Fund board of directors.
In an announcement on Thursday, the company said Ngonyama resigned as board member and chair of the audit and risk committee, effective immediately.that found Ngonyama and former vice-chancellor of UCT, Mamokgethi Phakeng, committed"serious governance failures" by misleading the university about the resignation of former deputy-vice chancellor of learning and teaching, Professor Lis Lange.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
