The former Celtic manager got a statement win over Manchester United on Saturday.
Stephen Warnock believes Ange Postecoglou’s successful style throughout his managerial career means he can cope with the loss off Tottenham talisman Harry Kane.
Warnock said: “I think 43 per cent of Tottenham’s goals came through Harry Kane last season. But he’s won things without Harry Kane in his team so he knows his formula of what he does on the training ground, behind the scenes and the way he conducts himself with the players. That works. From his point of view he probably thought ‘I’d rather do it with Harry Kane in my team but if not I’ll find other ways’ and that’s a quality manager.
“He’s taken an unconventional route to get to where he is at the moment - Japan, Australia, Celtic and now into the Premier League - but everything he does oozes class and he’s got a real nice way about him. He’s got that way about him which I like where I’d want to be his friend but there’s a side to him you wouldn’t want to cross which is a great strength to have as a manager.”
