Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange has parted ways with SuperSport United by mutual agreement.. Having just played three league games for Chiefs in the 2022/23 season, Nange sought a fresh start at SuperSport under Gavin Hunt but failed to cement his place. The midfielder only featured seven times for the three-time Premier Soccer League champions., the former Kaizer Chiefs man explained why he left SuperSport United after just one year.
“Firstly, I want to thank SuperSport for the opportunity that they gave me. For the time that I spent with them. I really appreciate it,” he told the publication “All the SuperSport family, management, supporters and all the teammates. I appreciate the time I spent at the club, every moment and minute that I spent with them. Yes, it’s true that we have parted ways after a mutual agreement.“So that I can look for a team where I can have more minutes. You would recall that I didn’t play much, and I wanted to have more minutes. I would say I really appreciate the time spent there.
Nange left Kaizer Chiefs for SuperSport to get game time but the grass was not greener. At 32, the midfielder will struggle to find a top team that will play him regularly.
