Chris Mochrie was on several clubs' radar after leaving United this summer
The 21-year-old is believed to have been on the radar of several clubs when opting to leave Dundee United this summer, having helped them win last season’s Championship.Dundee-born Mochrie told Airdrie’s website: “I’m delighted. It took a wee while to get it over the line, but I’ve been in the last couple of days and really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to get going.“The way they play football, playing through the thirds, is something I want to be a part of.
Boss Rhys McCabe said: “I’ve been a big admirer of Chris for a number of years. Having played against him first-hand, I know the qualities that he possesses.“In terms of his technical ability, and what he can bring to the team, he’s a real asset. “He’s two-footed, he can create things in the final third, and ultimately now it’s about getting a run of games and hopefully adding numbers to our front-line.”
