It came as a shock when the former it-couple Stormzy and Maya Jama announced their split in August 2019. This is why fans were so excited to see the pair together on Wednesday night at the GQ Men of the Year 2022 celebration in London.
In another interview with Louis Theroux, Stormzy has compared losing his ex-girlfriend Maya Jama to "actual death.” The rapper reminisced on the successes in his career but explained his break-up in 2020 led him to remove himself from social media. While he didn’t go into the reasoning behind the split, Stormzy has admitted he didn’t appreciate his former partner at the time.
He revealed to Louis Theroux that he wants marriage and to settle down with a family of his own, but admitted that looking for love was not an easy task as he has to keep things under the radar so as not to ‘blow up’ a potential girlfriend’s life. Stormzy also just released he music video for his song Hide and Seek which makes fans wonder if it's also about Maya.
