There is always plenty to talk about when the first golf major of the year hits town: What will the traditionally unreliable weather be like

The PGA and the European Tour have banned LIV players from competing in their events and there are currently court cases in which LIV Golf is challenging the established tours. But none of that is apparent at the Masters, where the LIV golfers are saying nice things about the two other tours, while their players are responding in kind.

I see some of these guys at home; I see Brooks a lot, I see DJ [Dustin Johnson] a lot. We sort of practice at the same place. I think the more face time you get with some people, the more comfortable you become in some way. There are so many – it's a very nuanced situation and there are different dynamics. You know, it's okay to get on with Brooks and DJ and maybe not get on with some other guys who went to LIV, right. It's interpersonal relationships; that's just how it goes.

He texted me congrats on Sunday, then I asked him if he wanted to play. We had that scheduled. I think everybody forgets that we see each other in off weeks and play with each other and talk with each other. There's an open line of communication there between me and him. I think we're both pretty honest in where we're at. I just wanted to play with him; just compare my game. I know he's been playing well.

It remains to be seen whether that stays like that in the next few days, especially if – as is expected – the ruling is handed down on whether the European Tour is allowed to ban LIV golfers from participating in their events.
