Hopefully, competitors can do two things at once, seeing the sites as they race past Chinatown Dragon Gate, Olvera Street, Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, Capitol Records Tower, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Grauman’s Chinese Theater and the Troubadour. For those spectators who want to take their car to the marathon, officials are recommending they use the Way.com app or its website to find secure, and um, “cheap” parking. Way.com is also offering early booking discounts. Trust us, you don’t want to get a big fat parking ticket in the city of Angels.
– Can’t imagine all of the 4,500 Ibuprofen tablets being consumed, because that would amount to a lot of pain. – If you can’t help yourself and want to cheer on the crowd, know that there are 20-plus different “cheer zones” along the way. – Ten medical stations, identified by bright red banners with the word medical and the Keck Medicine of USC logo on them every mile beginning at Mile 6 in addition to medical at the finish line and inside the Finish Festival. Each station is stocked with basic needs such as bandages, Vaseline, salt, Ibuprofen/Tylenol and more.Information and fun facts about the runners:
– All 50 states and 60-plus countries are represented this year. The total number of entrants from 1968 to 2023 totals nearly 748,000 runners.
