LancsLive has a brand new interactive map available which gives the average house price in every postcode area in Lancashire, showing some significant changes in both directions.
The figures have been calculated exclusively by Reach plc's Data Unit and are from the Land Registry’s price paid data. The averages are based on house sales in 12 months up to the end of August 2023. It also shows whether that has gone up or down compared to August 2022. Postcode areas with fewer than 50 sales in each of the last two years have been excluded.In Lancashire, prices have increased the most in the 21 local areas of Lancaster, Abbeystead, Aldcliffe, Aughton, Austwick, Bailrigg, Bay Horse, Caton, Clapham, Cockerham, Dolphinholme, Ellel, Farleton, Galgate, Glasson Dock, Halton, Hest Bank, High Bentham, Hornby, Quernmore, Tatham, and Wharfe.
On the worrying flipside for onwers, prices have fallen by 10.4% in Burnley. This is by some distance the worst hit area in Lancashire, with Accrington, Altham, Baxenden, Church, Clayton-le-Moors, Huncoat, Oswaldtwistle, and Rising Bridge suffering the next largest fall at -2.9%.
