His old friend Metamorpho is one hero who would certainly be up to the task of putting a smile on Bruce Wayne’s face, especially after his latest prank.
Shazam! #9 by Mark Waid and Emanuela Lupacchino features a team-up between Billy Batson's Captain alter ego and Jack Ryder, who's better known as the intolerable vigilante the Creeper. Ryder invites Billy — a young journalist — onto his controversial talk show. During the program, Ryder can’t help but throw some hate at the mutated Metamorpho, much to the hero’s chagrin as he watches live.
Ultimately, Metamorpho gets his revenge, transforming himself into a bucket of water and drenching Ryder as he walks through a door. And while this classic prank may seem petty coming from a Justice Leaguer, it’s exactly the kind of thing Batman would find hilarious.
