The behemoth that is celebrity culture only ever seems to get more… well, behemothic. Like the filler-pumped faces of many of our favourite stars, you’d have thought we’d have reached saturation point now – but no, we all still seem to want more, more, more.
What, then, of the red carpet? If the candidness and immediacy of social media is thoroughly modern, then starry events involving couture, paparazzi and screaming fans are surely terribly dated.
