The latest Nottingham Forest news as the Reds were left angry with the decision to award a red card and a penalty during the 3-2 defeat at Old Trafford.
Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is reportedly ‘furious’ and his club is considering making an official complaint to the Professional Game Match Officials Limited over the performance of referee Stuart Attwell.
The first came in the second half with the score locked at 2-2. Forest defender Joe Worrall was shown a straight red card for a foul on Bruno Fernandes as he raced towards the Forest goal, a VAR check backed the decision. Steve Cooper was left biting his tongue during his media duties after the full-time whistle, but, according to the Telegraph , the Forest boss was ‘seething’ as was Marinakis. The report says that Forest are now ‘considering’ making a complaint to the PGMOL. Speaking after the game Cooper gave his thoughts on the decisions. “I just think in games like these you just - I don’t even want to say good luck to go your way - you just want things to be as they should,” he said.
