The European Blockchain Observatory and Forum (EUBOF) report advises the EU on the convergence of blockchain and AI, highlighting data security, decentralized networks, and smart contract improvements.
Decentralized AI networks, enhancement of smart contracts and emerging DeFi protocols are some of the upcoming trends in blockchain, according to EUBOF.
The report, authored by the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology, highlighted blockchain’s potential to integrate with other technologies and drive innovation. The European Commission’s study also acknowledged the continued growth of the decentralized finance ecosystem and anticipates the launch of new protocols and emerging applications.
