Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth has jokingly suggested he would fight world champion boxer Tyson Fury if Siya Kolisi were the prize.
Eben Etzebeth and Siya Kolisi are not only two iconic Springbok teammates, but they are great friends who also briefly played together at the Sharks. The twoAs part of the experience, Kolisi also met WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury at Old Trafford, and joked about the size difference. Fury is a towering figure at 2.06m and 126kg.
It led to a classic response from the Springbok lock, who wrote: “I’ll fight him if you were the prize.”After the World Cup, though, Kolisi completed his move from the Sharks to French club Racing 92, while Etzebeth returned to action with the Sharks. Kolisi responded by stating: “I’m sorry I was just passing by 🥹 couldn’t myself ! Saying hello from the other side!”
