Passenger flights resume between Addis Ababa and war-devastated Tigray, following a peace deal.
Families wept and kissed the tarmac at the main airport in Ethiopia's northern Tigray region as they reunited after being kept apart by war for more than 18 months.
The government and Tigray People's Liberation Front finally signed a peace accord last month, opening the way for passenger flights to resume. As telephone services had also been cut, some people had no contact with their relatives in Tigray for more than 18 months, and were anxiously waiting to find out whether they were still at home and safe.
