The miner has withdrawn its guidance for 2020 for its SA operations and will update the market when further information is available

South32, a supplier of coal to Eskom, has withdrawn its market guidance as it seeks clarity on the effect of the nationwide shutdown on its SA operations.

The statement follows an announcement by President Cyril Ramaphosa on Monday night that a 21-day nationwide lockdown aimed at containing the spread of Covid-19, will commence at midnight on Thursday 26 March 2020.
