Eskom says it will be pushing load shedding higher this week – but daytime suspension will return.
Power utility Eskom says that it will be breaking daytime suspensions of load shedding and pushing outages up to stage 1 during the day.On Wednesday and Thursday, stage 1 load shedding will be implemented from 05h00 until 16h00, followed by Stage 3 load shedding from 16h00 until midnight on both days.
Despite the return to daytime load shedding, Eskom said that it expects to suspend outages once again later in the week. Over the past 24 hours, a generating unit each at Grootvlei, Kriel and Matla power stations was returned to service.
