Eskom has confirmed load shedding will remain suspended until in the evening - Stage 2 to be implemented from 16:00.
“Owing to stable generation capacity with breakdowns at 13 158MW and planned maintenance at 6 051MW of generation capacity, loadshedding will remain suspended today until 16:00 on Monday. Thereafter, Stage 2 loadshedding will be implemented from 16:00 until 05:00 on Tuesday. Loadshedding will then be suspended from 05:00 until 16:00 and Stage 2 implemented from 16:00 until 05:00 on Wednesday,” said Eskom.
Owing to stable generation capacity with breakdowns at 13 158MW and planned maintenance at 6 051MW of generation capacity, loadshedding will remain suspended today until 16:00 on Monday. Eskom is a South African electricity public utility. It was established in 1923 as the Electricity Supply Commission.
The utility is the largest producer of electricity in Africa and was among the top utilities in the world in terms of generation capacity and sales.Eskom operates a number of notable power stations, including Matimba Power Stations and Medupi Power Station in Lephalale, Kusile Power Station in Witbank, Kendal Power Station in Mpumalanga, and Koeberg Nuclear Power Station in the Western Cape, the only nuclear power plant in Africa.
