The utility will reduce its power cuts from stage 3 to stage 2 from 10am but warned that the supply situation remained constrained.
JOHANNESBURG - Eskom said that load shedding would be eased on Friday thanks to an increase in generation capacity and lower electricity demand.
Eskom’s Daphne Mokwena:"The return of additional generating units, adequate emergency reserves and anticipated lower electricity demand necessitate the reduction of load shedding to stage 2 from 10:00 today until further notice. Eskom will closely monitor the power system and communicate any significant changes as they occur."
