Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral says Mamelodi Sundowns' technical team has been vital for the past 10 years.
Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral has explained the difference between Amakhosi and Mamelodi Sundowns in terms of management.
The 64-year-old coach is no stranger to Amakhosi, having previously served as their head coach during the 1999/2000 season., Ertugral left with several trophies, including the BP Top 8 Cup, Coca-Cola Cup, and the Mandela Cup .“The biggest problem is that the greatest enemy of yourself is always the illusion of knowledge.
“You can see with Sundowns, they are running away in South African football and internationally as well – behind the scenes, for me, there are very influential people, I can’t mention Mr Berg,” he continued. “Behind the scenes, he is already looking . Sporting directors are not the ones grinding the results – that’s the technical part, but sporting directors and people behind the scenes are grinding results for the next 10 years.“I don’t think that’s what’s being done by Kaizer Jnr or behind the scenes by people who are in the business, but you need to have expertise who can handle and grind the results for the next 10 years – that’s what’s not happening at Chiefs.
Ertugral left Chiefs for the second time in 2009 and won the MTN8 title after beating Sundowns on penalties.
