The Reds boss may have sold him this summer but he is aware of Elanga's ability to unlock his Man United defence.
Erik ten Hag admits Anthony Elanga will pose a threat for Manchester United’s back line against Nottingham Forest.
Elanga failed to find favour under Ten Hag at United last season, starting just seven of his 26 appearances. The academy graduate was deemed surplus to requirements as the Reds tried to build cash reserves for new arrivals this window, although Ten Hag is well aware of the havoc he can wreak. Elanga left United after making 55 senior appearances, netting four goals and assists. Speaking about his transfer earlier this month, the 21-year-old said: “I feel like I’ve been ready and this is a big step up for me and that I wanted and needed in my career. It’s the right time for me to come here [to Forest].”
