Man United star Rashford will need to play even better than he did last season if he is to meet the aim Erik ten Hag set out earlier this year.

That would mean Rashford would need to score every 81 minutes - essentially every game plus the odd brace. It’s almost certain that United will play a number of matches somewhere in the middle of those extremes but it will nevertheless still take an almighty effort for Rashford to hit 40.
