President Erdogan accused Greece of condemning refugees to death by skewering their boats, adding Turkey had"all the documents" to confirm his claims.
Erdogan's statements on Thursday come after a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Turkey's capital Ankara. He said that Europe was in need of allies, and if such a perimeter is not established, the continent would be in a "difficult situation." He noted that the current trade volume between the two countries was $3-4 billion, and they seek to raise this figure to $6 billion.On Tuesday, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said Greece intercepted boats that came from Turkey, denying claims of pushbacks by authorities.
