Enterprise's finale was essentially a 'lost episode" of Star Trek: The Next Generation about Commander William Riker and Counselor Deanna Troi visiting the NX-01 Enterprise on the holodeck to solve a dilemma.

I believe it was my idea - I take full responsibility because it was hated by a whole bunch of people, so I won’t blame it on Brannon, my partner - the idea was to go onto… The Next Generation holodeck… that allowed us to jump a hundred years [sic] ahead and allow, in our case, Jonathan Frakes’ character and Marina Sirtis’ character, to go on the holodeck and see things that happened in [Enterprise’s] point in time.
