The Daily Herald endorses Kit Tingpalpong, Cary Lewis and Leonel Figueroa for the District 100 school board dh_opinion
This endorsement is a consensus opinion of the Daily Herald Editorial Board. In Fenton High School District 100, four people are vying for three 4-year seats on the school board.
Tingpalpong, a certified financial fiduciary from Wood Dale, says school board members must be fiscally responsible and work to maximize tax dollars to help students"learn and develop into the best versions of themselves." He also talks about the need to represent all the voices in the community. Figueroa, a Bensenville resident, says he's concerned because the high school is aging and needs repairs. In November, Fenton voters rejected a proposed tax hike to fund a $99 million plan to modernize the building and campus.
