Sibanye-Stillwater aims to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. Currently 13% of its workforce are female employees – up from 11% in 2016. This is on par with South African and international peers whose female representation ranges between 10-20%, based on 2018 data. Furthermore, 63 loans were provided to HDSA female suppliers. while R2.7 billion were procured from historical disadvantaged female-owned suppliers During 2019 .
It is the world’s largest primary producer of platinum and rhodium, the second largest primary producer of palladium and a top tier gold producer, ranking third globally, on a gold-equivalent basis, as well as a significant producer of other PGMs and associated minerals such as chrome.
