The City of Cape Town is championing community health and environmental sustainability with its recent initiative aimed at educating and empowering the Tafelsig community on waste management.
Collaborating with the staff at Wolfgat Nature Reserve, the Urban Waste Management Public Awareness, Communication and Education team organised an insightful tour of the Kraaifontein Integrated Waste Management Facility for Tafelsig residents.
Recognising the importance of community engagement in waste management, the Wolfgat Nature Reserve staff have been actively educating residents about responsible waste disposal. They also gained insight into recycling operations and the value of waste, inspiring them to participate in recycling programmes and community clean-up initiatives.
