Lewis McCartney, 18, was found with serious injuries on Viewcraig Street in Edinburgh at around 3.45am on Sunday, February 12.
The heartbroken employers of a young Scots outdoor activities instructor have hailed the 'gifted' lad who 'had so much more to give' after a teenager appeared in court charged with his murder.Bailey Dowling, 19 and of London, made no plea when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court accused of murder on Wednesday.
“He was so gifted, he could make his mountain bike fly had so much more to learn and give. Our thoughts go out to his family at this time. RIP wee man.” Gayle Foulner said: “Such awful news. Had a fantastic evening out on the canal last year with my cubs and Lewis was fantastic with them. Sending love to his family and friends at an unimaginably difficult time.”
