Emmerdale aired an explosive twist on Tuesday night as Tom King continued to make estranged ex-wife Belle Dingle's life a misery
During Monday's episode , Tom woke up in hospital with his uncle Jimmy King by his bedside, writhing in pain following last week's attack.
On Tuesday night, Belle's family helped to cover up the attack, which happened in self-defence, and made plans for her to flee the village to Ireland. However, she received a menacing message from Tom demanding she head to the hospital. Later at the hospital, Tom lied to the police and said it was two random men who attacked him, claiming he had never seen them before.
