Emmerdale's Rodney star Patrick Mower's life off screen including wife of almost 30 years
Having played the iconic Rodney Blackstock in Emmerdale for over 20 years, Patrick Mower is a familiar face to soap fans up and down the country.
At 84 years old, Patrick is the oldest serving cast member in Emmerdale. However, Patrick hasn’t always been at one with his age and admitted in his 2007 autobiography that he believed that he was two years younger than he was for a number of years. But despite his long time on our screens, prior to becoming an actor he trained as an engineering draughtsman in Oxford though he later graduated from the famous acting school RADA.
Thanks to his impressive acting career, Patrick was selected to be part of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant in June 2022.
