Iain Packer denies killing the 27-year-old and abusing a further 27 women over 26 years.
Iain Packer denies killing the 27 year old in April 2005, and abusing 27 other women over a 26 year period.
Prosecutors also claim that on the same date and same location, he disposed of his victim's naked body, clothes and personal belongings, including a mobile phone. It is further claimed a fourth woman was targeted by Packer several times at the woodland between July 20, 2000, and April 1, 2005. It’s claimed Mr Packer committed “rape to her injury” and did “compress her neck and restrict her breathing”.
And he’s accused of assaulting three men between February 2008 and October 2011, plus punching a boy, 15, on the head between June 1992 and June 1993. Mr Renucci told the court that he and his colleague, junior counsel John Brannigan, hadn’t yet finished considering the evidence against their client. But he asked the court to fix a trial diet.
