Emily Blunt usually brings a certain ‘Mary Poppins meets Princess Diana’ energy to her red-carpet looks, but the black-and-white diamond-pattern crop top outfit that she wore to South by Southwest on March 12 was a totally different vibe. It’s a little bit Harley Quinn. A little bit Brit pop. A lotta bit abs.
She wore the set with a pair of baggy, low-rise black pants , and white sneakers, keeping the whole look low-key. She styled her hair in a slightly teased, slick ponytail and accessorised with dangly gold earrings. I feel like this is the first time I’ve seen Emily Blunt not look like she’s just returned from getting tea with the queen or hosting a royal ball or something. But as her co-star Ryan Gosling told the crowd at the film festival, Blunt contains multitudes.
