Mohamed Salah has made headlines over the last couple months as the 32-year-old nears the end of his contract with Liverpool, and former player Emile Heskey has weighed in on the matter.

Recently, and uncharacteristically, Salah has hinted at his frustration over the fact that Liverpool have not yet made an offer to keep him at the club beyond the new season.Heskey who made 150 appearances for Liverpool between 2000 and 2004, believes a new contract could be close to being finalised for Salah.
Heskey pointed to the astounding consistency of Salah while at Liverpool which has seen the player score every 1.6 games.
