Crews spent more than three hours at the scene
Emergency services swarmed a Harpurhey street after a house fire broke out overnight. Firefighters, police and paramedics were all seen in attendance at Jonas Street in the early hours of this morning .
Crews were called out at around 1.30am and remained at the scene for more than three hours. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service says the blaze broke out in the first floor of a terraced house. A GMFRS spokesperson said: "At just before 1.30am this morning four fire engines from Blackley, Philips Park, Manchester Central, and Broughton fire stations were called to a fire involving the first floor of a terraced house on Jonas Street, Manchester. Crews arrived quickly and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used three hose reels to extinguish the fire and made the area safe.
“Crews were in attendance for around three and a half hours.” Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service have both been approached for comment.
