Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and Merseyside Police attended the scene
A major Liverpool road that connects large parts of the city was temporarily closed following a "police incident".
A spokesperson for the fire service told the ECHO: "Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance at an incident on Walton Hall Avenue. Crews were alerted at 17.46 and two fire engines and the search and rescue team were on scene at 17.51. Traffic monitor INRIX said police closed a section of the road in both directions from Stanley Park Avenue North to Stopgate Lane. The most recent update said traffic was easing after the road was reopened shortly after 6.30pm.
