A car blaze on Glasgow's M8 motorway this morning sparked an emergency response.
The incident took place between Junctions 11 and 12 - the Stepps Road Interchange and Cumbernauld Road Interchange - at around 11am on Friday, May 10.
After receiving a report of the blaze, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent two fire trucks to the scene.However, disruption caused by the incident was cleared shortly after 12pm. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said:"Around 11.05am on Friday, May 10, 2024, officers received a report of a vehicle on fire on the M8 near junction 11.Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service added: "We were alerted at 10.59am on Friday, May 10, to reports of a car on fire on the M8 Eastbound, between junctions 11 and 12.
