Elton John reveals he's returning to his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour
He wrote alongside the snap: 'After a restful break at home, I'm ready to get back on the road with my Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour!
The hitmaker decided he wanted to retire after this tour so he could spend more time with his filmmaker husband David Furnish, 58, and their two sons, Zachary, 11, and Elijah, nine. He said of his 'great sadness' last year: 'I fell awkwardly on a hard surface and have been in considerable pain and discomfort in my hip ever since.'
However the legendary singer was forced to cancel shows again earlier this year due to testing positive for Covid.'Wow, we haven't played a show since the 6th of March 2020. This is a new experience for us, I've never had this amount of time off in my life ... playing music, well at least since I was 17 years of age,' he told the crowd at that concert.
